With my full support, long-time EWE user Doug Russell is trying to bring EWE back to life. Visit his webpage for news and updates

Development of EWE has stopped.
Thanks to all who helped, encouraged and supported. While unfinished and still buggy, I believe EWE remains a potentially useful tool.
If you are looking for an web-based wysiwyg editor, check out TTW WYSIWYG Editors and I'm sure you'll find what you are looking for.

I also extracted the threads on saving and loading content into/from the editor. The extraction isn't perfect (UBBCodes still in), but it ought to be good enough.
